Guitar Pro: .gp files (Guitar Pro 7 and 8) are read directly. Older .gpx, .gp5, .gp4 and .gp3 files are not — open one in Guitar Pro and use File → Save As to write a .gp. Only the lyrics, chord names and tempo can be recovered: Guitar Pro attaches chords to beats rather than to syllables, so you place them over the words in the editor. Ultimate Guitar: plain chord pages can be pulled in from the From Web tab.
